I appreciate you posting this information for those of us here. Absolutely the first time I have heard this, but, damn, how hard would it be for some prominent Democrats to counter the narrative from this administration with this?

It wouldn't be hard at all. Someone just have to have the balls to do it.
Also where our journalists are failing us. Simple question to ask the administration. On what are you basing the information that crime is up?
And how is writing on a column at a train station with chalk a felony? Or how is throwing a sandwich at a National Guard soldier felonious assault. That is how the crime rate is being increased.
That is just pathetic.
individuals being seven times more likely to be wrongfully convicted of serious crimes compared to their white counterparts. The primary factors contributing to these wrongful convictions include official misconduct, mistaken witness identifications, and systemic issues (cont)
Prime example of official misconduct occurred in Chicago starting in the 70’s. White detectives tortured Black people into confessing to crimes they didn’t commit. chicagotorture.org/reparations/...
Oh and perhaps some racism thrown in?
Anyone remember Dallas 1st Black DA, #CraigWatkins??? He was involved in exonerations of several men wrongly convicted. I voted fir Mr Watkins & allowed hus campaign sign in my yard. Alas, he passed away & I know DARN WELL there are other misconvicted inmates within TX prisons. Rest in Power, sir. 🕊
within the criminal justice system that disproportionately affect people of color. In short, UCR arrest data is being used improperly to imply guilt and to spread fear against Black people. Please be mindful of this the next time a racist throws crime statistics around. You're welcome.☕️ (end)
Statistics have always been questionable, but under 47’s administration, I don’t think there’s anything that can be believed. Thank you for another enlightening thread, my friend!
@skyview.social unroll
Thank you. I have always thought that much of that disparity comes from over policing. I mean if there are 20 cops per square mile in a Black neighborhood and cops only come when called in a white one, more black people will be arrested. This adds another layer of understanding.
Thank you Eddie
You're welcome, Eileen!😊💙
95% of serial killers are white males, mass shooters 100%, white males,
Yep. And the UCR says nothing about crime rates. DOJ’s criminal victimization survey does that.
Being falsely accused is what fuels the perception and sometimes the conviction. Systemic Racism is real.
that "highest" exoneration rate speaks volumes
🎯💐🤗
About ridiculously racist cops and prosecuting attorneys, for sure.
Darling Red... still counting the blessings of your pointing out the ingrained racism i have unintentionally harbored. The "String 'em up," on Pace ads. Ot never "clicked!!" Ive hrmeard that expression so much, just rolls off w out any thought. Im beyond grateful for your post. FOREVER grateful!🫠🥰💯💙
Sometimes it takes a few tries to really understand how the culture we're immersed in quietly reinforces the racist stereotypes Americans learned back in the 18th Century. We're so jacked up, we don't even know we're jacked up.
I've read several books abt ingrained racism & thought I had conquered most. Apparently not!! I dont use that saying myself, but never say anything to others who say it. Its generally used in a non-racial way, & YET, it STILL has racial undertones. I'll do better & say something!!🗣🤜🏻🤛🏾🎯💥💯💙
Oh, and MEEGAN!! I still have your purse!! GAWD!! (the gif you used is from Key and Peele, and I'm a big fan)
SO FREAKING DIFFICULT! Keep up the good work! There are still times when I'm shocked that the thing I said, or was about to say, as still being racist. It takes YEARS to dig out all that old programming, because like I said, we don't even know we're programmed. Good luck!!
i love you GangstaMimi
Thank you for sharing!
You get what you look for. They’re targeting people based on skin color - black and brown.
Very puzzling why the FBI wouldn't collect the exoneration data. How can any process get better if there's nothing to gauge the performance. To do that, you need complete and accurate data. Unless you benefit from incomplete and inaccurate data? Thank you for the lesson on this. I didn't know.
Thankyou Eddie for posting this because few people know these facts, and it is important that facts like these get out to the public.
😊💙🙏🏽
It is the racists. youtu.be/rhrPuyXH3Q0?...
Wow. The racist who called the cops described her as a black “woman.” This young girl is NOT A WOMAN. she’s a scientifically minded young girl. yeah for Yale!
It wad a while back.... and they are neighbors... so she was a known community member.
