i know it's not a series for everyone, but i'd really appreciate if you guys didn't leave snarky comments on my posts about south park🙏 it's been a very important series to me since 2017, and recently I'm giving myself permission to enjoy it openly i really like these little guys, let me have fun
You should be able to share what you enjoy without feeling put down for it especially when it's something like South Park. I really enjoy the series too! I know it's not for everyone but it's something I also love to watch and keep up with

as a long time south park fan i feel for you. i can relate to this. and also, i dont mind if people dont like SP. but it annoys me when people dont like it for untrue reasons. its very common for people to say the creators dont care about anything, and that simply isnt true
if you havent watched Casa Bonita Mi Amor i really recommend it you get a good insight into the creators of the show and 6 Days to Air is also good for insight into the creation of the show. they very clearly do care and have opinions
oh yesss I've seen it all hahhonestly, it's pretty easy to spot the people who complain after actually watching it (and, fair! not everyone's taste!), and people who simply don't like it because I'mBetterThanWatchingTHISShow reasons... 🤧
yeah. also people who were watching it when they were kids and saying “other kids made fun of me because they saw this show” n its like! its not a show for kids those parents shouldn’t have let the kids watch this show 😭 its not the shows fault that kids who dont understand satire watched it
I've found I'm not as into South Park of late, but I still enjoy alot of the earlier seasons. Some of the newer ones do still have episodes or moments I enjoy or at least get a laugh out of me (though the why can vary.)
I feel like I enjoyed it more when it was doing less social commentary/making fun of current events. And I say that even for cases where their going after things I'm mad about or the side I don't like! I feel like its much better when just being zany weird shenanigans.
admittedly, same!! But as we all know, "In order for me to write poetry that isn’t political I must listen to the birds and in order to hear the birds the warplanes must be silent." But more shenanigans is exactly what the fandom is for, isn't it? 🥰
That's just this form of social media in general. Anyone who isn't the exact image people want with every opinion they agree with are literally Satan. Best to just block and move on. It's impossible to please everyone because if you were everyone's cup of tea, you'd be a mug. :D

There's nothing wrong with enjoying South Park. Honestly I find it hilarious, though I haven't watched it in years. I still like doing my impressions of Cartman and Kyle like they're having an argument with each other. Usually gets a laugh out of people too.
I like that Matt & Trey at least try something new even when it doesn't stick. The Black Friday Game of Thrones parody lives rent free in my head. Also, Cartman's Christian songs.

Where's that old thing, "Its okay to not like things, just don't be a dick about it!" But well, in truth this is the nature of the internet. Everyone has an opinion and always has, its just now they can all broadcast it at anyone anywhere anytime. Instead of having to keep it to themselves.
i know the fandom is a very mixed bag, like most fandoms are tbh, but yeah! i really recommend giving it a shot if all you've ever seen are random out of context scenes I don't agree with every single take, but that's not the point of watching a show imo and, yeah i just like these guys a lot!!
my therapist is lowkey encouraging mw to share more things that bring me joy, and sp's one of my special interest for years now so!!! if you don't like it, please just don't interact with my posts about it and i know most people won't see this post either idk i think i just wanted to say something
