Wheaton BA degrees do require science electives. They couldn't be accredited otherwise. But not necessarily a science related to medicine, or advanced enough to involve research.

It would be a good question for a reporter to ask. Wheaton does have biology and health science courses today. but I dont think they did back in the 1990's when he attended.
I've spent time on DOD review panels for research grant requests. I've interviewed neuroscientists and reported on their work in progress to affected communities. The sight of this man ignorantly dismissing the NIH is so crazy-making. It's like someone gave a grinning bully the keys to my house.
