The last time I voted some busy body was trying to see my identification that had already been validated by the poll worker. I told them to back the refrigerator door off. That person informed me they were a poll watcher. I told her there were a half a dozen utility poles outside for her to check.

Oh no. Sorry to hear it. Ohio was the first state I ever voted in, at 19! I was so excited. I certainly didn't have a driver's license then. I guess a passport suffices if people don't drive? Too bad they have erected that barrier.
Yes, you can vote with your passport as long as it's not expired. And you can now get a state ID for free at the DMV. But yeah, the barriers are ... very deliberate.
And how many people in Ohio have passports? I've had mine since I was 12 in 1971, but Dad flew for PanAm, and I needed one when he took me to Japan. (Japan also required a cholera vaccination. Thing knocked me flat for 24 hours) Current one is good until 2031. I won't let it expire.
