SO some old fart in front of me is driving at 40kph in an 80. How can I get close enough to quickly overtake them if I have to strop 70metres behind them?

I think this is more aimed at motorway driving, not A roads, but even if it was you can't see around the guy if you're tailgating him to overtake safely.

Drive in Italy, middle lane hogging is a religion there. Annoys the hell out of me to.
