Doesn't lowering income and corp tax and raising sales tax transfer the burden from the top to the bottom earners? Is that what voters want in LA?

Glad more are understanding this although too late. One difference though which make tariffs even worse than a Federal sales tax. Tariffs trigger foreign retaliation which then dampen exports creating additional economic damage. Ben Stein explains it to perfection in the Bueller Bueller scene.

Sounds extremely regressive. But that’s Louisiana for you. Probably won’t be long other bottom of the barrel states like MS, AL, and AR follow suit.

Arkansas' race to the bottom is doing well, Sarah Huckabee will see to it. Living in a declining red state run by the 'D' students is a real treat.

This whole, 10 year long, Trump fiasco is one giant money grab for the rich. This is one small part of that. Shifting wealth even faster from the bottom up. Welcome to the Feifdom of America.

So that means all the poor folks just got an increase in their inflation rate. Maybe they'll start to blame it on Trump's economy. Because that's where it's headed.

So let’s get this straight. If you don’t make enough to pay income tax, lot of Trump voters fall into that category, you still pay more in sales taxes. You get none of the benefits, but royally screwed because you pay the taxes for the rich and corporations.

George, what if the Democrats tried running on a platform of zero taxes for working people and an increase on corporations and the wealthy? Stop focusing on identity issues by name and say they want everyone to have freedom. If the Right can elect insanity anything is possible.

Need to change the lexicon. Socialism is a bad word even though it is in place for the elite. Rebrand Socialism to "Rich Dad Economy" Isn't that what socialism for the rich is like? Having a rich dad who can come in and bail you out. Trump had a rich dad. Leon had a rich dad.

If people want it, they can have the US Government act like their rich daddy. If there were no poor people wouldn't there be more money in the economy? Wouldn't there be fewer issues with society? People turn to bad things when life sucks. Money makes life easier. The US is rich enough to do it.
