From what I hear, it blows the parade out of the water. Trump is coping and claiming they had 250,000 but uh...I think no one believes that. I heard a 8000+ number thrown around but not seeing an independent source. The expected was 200k, apparently they were quite below that.

I left the church decades ago (I am at most agnostic) but with two Popes that reflect my view of Jesus’ core teachings, I am truly heartened. A Pope is hugely influential and we desperately need positive influences to counteract the evil being spread by our government.

I was raised Catholic and spent 9 out of 12 years in Catholic schools. I still don't believe in hell and eternal damnation. Maybe reincarnation though - like all the horrible people have to come back as slugs a thousand times over. 😁

Pity that this message on peace and unity got virtually ignored by all but local and Catholic news outlets. Meanwhile, the message about political violence was all too clear, coming from DC 'perades', Utah shootings, MN assassinations, and attempted murder by car in VA.
