Oh I wasn't criticizing the BLS for revising numbers down. They've been doing that a lot, and what you post is exactly the reason behind it. Part of the problem is that people see the initial numbers and assume that its gospel, and they shouldn't at this point. Its a first estimate.

The alternative is to wait a few months or even a year for the final numbers, but most people would prefer the initial estimate. Just like when we hit Iran, you want an initial assessment to see if more action was warranted, even if it doesn't paint an accurate picture.
