I'm convinced these are designed to figure out who the stupid marks are, kind of like how the Nigerian Prince emails intentionally used typos.

I think you’re right. Hadn’t thought about it but it makes more sense to be a Pig Butchering scam than trying to be passably realistic

It's a very easy way to make cash. They can pump thousands of these out and they can monetise the page. And unfortunately, thousands, if not millions, of people happily interact with them.
