Israel has proved to be a force not to mess with. Repeatedly. Nobody wants to accept that; and it has caused much suffering. 75 years as you say.

I guess if you consider widespread oppression, destruction of property, gratuitous killings and blockades of essential goods to be justified, than Israel "is a force". BTW: your tax dollars are going to subsidize that "force".

I believe that the leaders in Israel are acting to preserve and defend their citizens. I don't see any need to limit the level of offense so long as there is pushback from hamas. War is ugly and surrender is not easy.
