We need the immigrants, always have since the first days of the colonies. We are a nation of immigrants, when did your family come to US. Mine came about 1904 to escape being in Russian army. All grands have master degrees and are prof.

Most fail to see or refuse to accept this fact that 99% of Americans and their descendants came from somewhere else. And 1904 wasn’t long ago my grandfather was 8 and grandmother was 4 years old then. That’s only 3 generations to me.

But, it is about 120+ years since we came. I am third generation, and my daughter fourth. You should see what those “kids” are doing and they have kids. The family tree keeps growing.

3/4 of my family immigrated from England/Scotland/Wales in the 1850s. One grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1920s.

No, we have had this bigot problem every time a new group of immigrants has come here for a new life, and although we have had actions against the new groups, eventually they were accepted and become part of the quilt. Every new group has become an important contributor to our wonderful diversity.

It is easy to forget and not remember how awful conditions can be today. The fact is that we need the immigrants, we have already depended on immigration. I don’t know how to convince them because their reaction has been fashioned by lies from the bigots. Trumps have always been bigoted.
