Sorghastrum nutans flowers. The common name is Indiangrass. And I’m wondering if that’s okay, actually preferred, or are the alternative common names. Also, why “Indiangrass” for this specific grass?

I've also seen it called "Yellow prairie grass."

It was a mistake to walk through a field of this. Took extra allergy meds on return to the house. Oy. 🫠
