If I remember correctly Jodi Kantor was the NYT staffer who told us how moderate Amy Coney Barrett was before Barrett (joined by Thomas) wrote her concurrence in Skirmetti, where she basically said that we haven’t discriminated against trans persons long enough to view them as a suspect class.
