"Lo and behold" also doesn't sound like him, nor does "love and respect". This reads to me like a younger nerdy person. It almost reads more like my writing (parenthetical exclamations!) than his, embarrassingly

Yeah this is a vast and rich field of textual analysis and we've been doing it for a decade now! You can always tell if he DIDN'T write it, but some of the people with posting privileges try harder to ape the style? This one doesn't have enough weird Capitals.

Most of the time you can see "he typed or dictated and somebody else cleaned it up and posted" because it's basically him but spelled right. But this one feels at some remove from the guy himself. Maybe he had input, editorial suggestions.

It's like when of his new words enters the vernacular and I hate it but also it's ugh actually great. Like covfefe. Or, "SAD!" though I know he's not the real inventor of that one.

wow, that I did not know! (about "Sad!") that's some deep lore! Goes back even before the first election I think.

The way I remember it is @joshtpm.bsky.social memeifying it at some point in 2015 or so but it may have come from elsewhere. I always figured Trump had to have actually used it at some point, but maybe it was just a "print the legend" kind of thing.

Wait, “Sad!” predates Trump?

Yeah I need more info too, heh. It was definitely a stock Trump utterance you'd use to mock him by the time he was president, whether he himself ever actually used it or not.

He's definitely made using, "Sad!" as an ending to a comment a thing. I can't attribute it to him entirely honestly because I think it's such a short, common utterance.

I feel like he popularlized it but I'm pretty sure my dad has been going, "Sad!" after a lot of my antics my whole life lol

He'd absolutely spell it like, "low and be hold!"
