From late September until Late October. They're so easy to spot, I used to find some every morning in the local park while taking the dog for a walk. I had half a jam jar full of dried powdered Ms by November, as I had 'accidentally' put them wrapped in newspaper next the central heating boiler...

My park was in Stirling. North side of the river just past the student flats, next to the river.

I always wondered what the local farmers made of us all bent double in their fields at that time of year! On one occassion both me and my Dad left the house at the same time to go out foraging (not the same mushrooms obvs!).

Indeed. Some of my posh friends wanted me to take them to best field so I drove them up to farmlands on the other side of town and I stopped the car and said there it is. They asked me which field. "The one where you can see all 11 year-olds from my estate bent double!"
