I’m going to France in 48 hours. I’ve never been happier to go to France. And I go to France fairly often, since we have family there, and also I like France, and I’m always happy to go there, but BLESSED JEEBUS I am happy to be leaving the states for a week.
I’m just exhausted. The big stupid bill did incalculable damage to the company I work for and we’ve been struggling simply to keep people employed. Many long hours. And of course, the news. I’m going to see my sis and her hubs, and GF’s folks, and sit by the pool, and sip rosé.
And of course I’m incredibly privileged to be able to do this stuff, and I know I’m not alone in being exhausted by everything, but it’s still an incredible sense of relief.
