Never. Podcast.
Never. Podcast.
This guy interviewed Steve Bannon. It's easy to see why that drops his ratings, especially given his backstory as Kimberly Guilfoyle's husband, trying to pretend he was JFK with Jackie O. He's more like Patrick Bateman every day.
If you think "reaching the center," starts with Ben Shapiro, you deserve more than a 10% drop in popularity.
I wasn't polled but I went from favorable to 'next!'.
Now you tell @paulapoundstone.bsky.social
the real problem for Newsom here isn't that he's interviewing rw shitheels and antagonising the left, it's that he's putting terrible judgment on wide display and on the record and if he wants people to get past the ick and vote for him because he can win, well, this isn't how to sell that prospect
Finally the fascist-right in America are getting a platform, thanks, Gav! 🙄
"Wait, Wait...Don't Podcast"
Nit everyone should podcast
i think it's better this way. He took himself off the menu before we'd narrowed down our choices.
It’s best to be true to one’s self. I appreciate knowing him better before I decide to support any run for office he might make.
Could have asked many democrat I know that this was a bad idea.
God dammit- any democrat.
thing is, I can't tell what is slicker: Gavin or his hair.
He's not the future. Handsome in that slick California way yes but we need real people.
I’d be pissed if my ACTIVE governor was using his political position to fuel a podcast. And then if that podcast’s biggest focus was bringing on NAZIS??
I will NEVER understand this
"Wait, Wait... Stop Talking", the podcast that will make you love ad breaks, with Gavin Newsom
Gavin is never going to be President. He should just hang that idea up right now.
Sure as hell not now. He was on fire when he believed what he said. Then fell into the Dem trap of thinking fake moderation beats authentic anything.
I am from California, and voted for him every chance I got, and even setting aside all this awful Nazi footsie he is playing, I would not vote for him in a presidential primary. The Nazi-curious thing will certainly affect any vote I might make for him as a senatorial candidate though.
Politicians are better appreciated when they talk less and shut up more
No surprise ! Dumb move
Don’t podcast with Steve Bannon. Gavin screwed the pooch.
This statement is an insult to pooches
You’re correct & you made me laugh! 🤣🤣
It might’ve been his choice to have chipper convos with absolute cretins…
I don’t think that’s the takeaway necessarily. Rather when two of his guests are people who are perpetuating Trump’s BS lies and he doesn’t kick back at all on it you’re going to have some issues.
Counter-argument: always podcast. It's helpful when the trash takes itself out
White trash trashes all.
I don’t know why he wanted to shoot himself in the foot, but he couldn’t have done it much better.
See how easy it is, Chuck?
Also known as the "full Ted Cruz"
Are radio variety shows safe?
"I liked you better before I knew you."
1. Some people can podcast. 2. Some people can’t podcast. 3. Some people shouldn’t podcast. 4. Some people should podcast. Gavin is 2 and 3.
Never. Ever.
Never seen a man Newsom himself so bad as that one did…
Unless you're Jerry Brown. Then you can do a "We the People" podcast and interview Gore Vidal.
Is he going to follow the path of celebrities who took a hard right turn after being “cancelled”, à la Russell Brand?
What is interesting is that Tim Cook, Zuckerberg, Bezos, etc all jumped to salute Trump .. any polls on how Americans now view their businesses? We know about Tesla and Musk but what about other tech bros? Anyone know?
Yeah, the political consultant who was like "Start a podcast to reach getable center-right voters!" certainly earned their fee.
“What the US political landscape needs right now is more appeal to the right. That could be your niche!”
But the negative 26% that turned against him would still vote for him against Vance. But the 13% were in play.
I’m glad he did so we can know what a desperate pandering bigot he is
Definitely not if you're in government.
He’s much better when played by Seth Myers’ brother.
