The reason is we don't have the luxury of a safety net to protect us. If we lose our jobs, we have no health care. If we get hurt in a protest, we lose our home. If we become homeless, we get arrested now. But, I do think it will come to a head very soon. They will overreach and spark it.

Not complacent, there is a limit to what a private citizen can do in this scenario. The checks and balances to prevent this have failed--Republican Congress and SCOTUS are complicit. Democrat Congress has been ineffective, though they are limited by numbers. The fascists have rigged the system.
