That's a question I don't have an answer for (since I'm only secondhand familiar with Fallout). But I'm getting callbacks to some of Scott McLoud's Understanding Comic and the use of simplicity --> Universality, except AI images lack human intentionality & that makes McCLoud a weaker analytic tool

It really is. A comic book Master's Thesis that explains how a specific medium works in a way that changes how you see the world. Absolute banger. (and hits on how the Pipboy Aesthetic works as propaganda in-universe AND the appeal of the AIGen Images to their fans)
