Most people don't realize that WV was blue until about 2000. I mean HEAVILY blue. So I kind of get why they gave up on getting any help from Democrats. 🥹

I do feel sorry for a lot of them. WV has been exploited for centuries by rich corporations. There were so few jobs, except coal mining, and the local government has been an oligarchy since long before the federal gov became one. So many people in poverty and without access to education 🥹
