Yes indeed! But also having a ZIP file is the best insurance. Regardless of PDS and TOS shenanigans, your content is right there in your pocket. I'll stick index.html in the root of ZIP to browse posts, media etc.

I'm not sure keys should always go to password managers, for most people that is a confusing black box. I'd say it is a separate ZIP with big "SECURITY FILES" letters. Stick it on USB drive and put in the desk drawer. bsky.app/profile/viel...

the issue with doing zip files and stuff is that it might get to technical for the average user who probably doesnt care that much the goal if this iiuc is to make backup and migration stupid easy for anyone

saying all this the op does mention putting rotation keys and car into icloud which wouldnt be possible w a webapp is there public apis for icloud and gdrive storage? and webapis for saving info to password managers
