When I read GIDEON THE NINTH back in 2021, I wasn't sure I liked it but I figured I'd give the sequel a shot when the hold queue got to me 3.5 years later I only kinda remember Gideon but whatever, I'm sure HARROW will make sense with what I've retained right? literally Chapter 1: lol, lmao

trying to search "when does HARROW THE NINTH take place compared to Gideon" and having Google suggest "when does HARROW THE NINTH start making sense" and, you know what, I feel seen (the answers are hilarious, granted)

For an actual answer- the first chapter is supposed to feel horribly jarring and will only make sense later into the book. What follows is off kilter as Harrow gets her bearings, but is set shortly after the Emperors ship evacuates them due to the 2nd house’s emergency signal.

It’s very much a mystery, feel free to shoot me any questions if you’re confused if you should know something or not!
