religion is similar and a profession you are religious from local social lack of educational infrastructure is a different phenomenon from devout pious observance which if anything clusters with education, but inspiration/uplift/true belief of that doctrine.

and if anything, that devout belief, is not from lack of education, but requires lots of study and education to uplift it. Biased study perhaps that reaffirms the faith but is a very different thing from like, low education environments were everyone just goes along with conventional wisdom/group

other viral social opinions like "belief in the god you all believe In" are similar they will be like "Everyone around here is christian we all believe jesus" and an actual religious scholar can talk to them they know nothing of the faith dont really adhere to it.

if you went to a bunch of american pakistanis who had access to education, are skilled work immigrants, profession to believe in islam would be much lower than a sample of pakistanis, the same way, american white skilled workers do not say they believe in jesus like uneducated red state whites.
