I think "demands of scale" were pretty clear. The real buried lede here is the TA scarcity

agree 100%. Thanks so much for sharing. This was one of the best essays I've read on AI (but maybe because of its optimistic ending!).

Yes, most of the anti-AI pieces I read are just scolding condemnations of unprepared students, whereas this talked about university mission and building something meaningful.
