Okay, and many are doing that. Some are demanding inspections of detention centers that are in their districts, others are meeting with constituents to hear their concerns, some are working with the Texas state lawmakers and fundraising for their $500/day fines…
It’s frustrating and I think they need better congressional caucus leaders but also face the reality of how powerless Democrats really are here. Voters gave Republicans all the levers of power and there’s extreme limitations on what Democrats can meaningfully do to stop them.
they don't have any power legislatively which is why it's so critical that they use their platform and speak out - I know that some are doing that - but none of them are in DC so that's happening w/ zero pushback for now
