The author maybe did not notice that also Zelenskyi changed his behavior (and also his outfit) after the first incident in The White House. The fact that some European leaders managed to change Trump's attitude of Russia was surely helping like the Europe's initiative to buy US military equipment.
I have not seen any attitude change from Trump over Ukraine Jonas. Just a couple of days ago, he was calling for Putin to go to the States to watch the football world cup. If that was not all, he was waving a picture of himself and Putin about, saying how good Putin looked like a love sick teenager.
I saw it too, but luckily there was nothing directly against Ukraine. I see a big change compared to the first catastrophic meeting in The White House. We have also seen new tariffs on India and selling arms to Europe -->Ukraine. Could be better but could also be worse.
I am afraid I will have to agree to disagree about Trump and his love affair with Putin and Russia.
I am sorry, jonas, but I can not see any changes, and honestly, I do not expect any. The tariffs on India were for different reasons, and according to reports, the arms sales to Europe for Ukraine have had a 10% tarrifs placed on them, plus missiles have not to be used to attack inside Russia.
Maybe I look this matter from a different angle which is "could be much worse" or "is a little better than before (during Trump's era)". Btw: what are the "different reasons" concerning 25% extra tariff on India? I must have somehow passed by that information.
I read a report that Trump put the extra tariffs on because of India being in BRICS and getting closer to China. I don't think it could be much worse. Do not forget Trump got Johnson to stop aid to Ukraine for seven months when Biden was president. Trump has no love for Ukraine or its people.
OK; BRICS may be one reason for the tariffs. I know Trump's bad history and I think that he hates Zelenskyi because the earlier blackmailing episode. But on the other hand Ukraine gets arms from USA now and I think that's the main thing at the moment. That situation could be much worse.
With an extra 10% put on the price of the arms, also don't forget the restrictions that has been put on their use. Trump has not put any sanctions on Russia. He has on Ukraine, and what about the sanctions he was putting on China for buying Russian oil, I judge Trump by his actions, not words.
I know all that and I don't like Trump at all which You may have noticed if You have read my earlier comments about him. All I'm saying that situation could be much, much worse than it is now.
