My most irrational but strongly held political belief is that Kamala Harris would be president right now if the campaign hadn’t muzzled Tim Walz
My most irrational but strongly held political belief is that Kamala Harris would be president right now if the campaign hadn’t muzzled Tim Walz
I don't think this is an entirely irrational belief tho
you guys really can't get though your skulls that putin hacked and musk bought the election! so, almost after a year, you STILL think these ridiculous thoughts always involving blaming each other check out what the portuguese president said YESTERDAY and wake up guys
That would hit harder if not for the fact you fucks still can’t even agree if the Dems loss was due to the election was stolen (meaning literally no one but the fascists are to blame) or if it’s because anyone/everyone left of fascist demanded a
candidate that could pass the entirely unreasonable “purity test” of “do you oppose fascism?” while secretly voting for Trump (for some unknowable reason)
I liked how Walz said Trump "froze" during Covid (I'd have preferred "choked like a dog") right out of the gate, but didn't persist with that. He should have been constantly reminding us of Trump's weakness and incompetence in a time of crisis.
You mean if Musk hadn’t messed up the data.
Meh, whatever. Eyes forward.
Mine is that Joe Biden would still be president if his feckless “allies” had rallied around him after his June 28th debate instead of undermining him.
Joe Biden is literally dying of cancer my man
Trump is dying of God knows what. He’s still president.
I've seen people argue it was still being used, but it certainly wasn't front and center. They got sidetracked (surprised) with selling out trans kids, defending Netanyahu, and other predictable shit. Needed to spam the Walz attacks.
Harris is not president because approx 7 million people didn’t vote for whatever reason. They didn’t feel the need to protect fellow citizens, the Constitution or themselves.
God, I'm completely with you on this. I was so disheartened by Walz overly acquiescing to Vance in the VP debate. People are angry at the state of things in general and want fighters (which is why I think many's lizard brains gravitate towards Repubs), and the Dem leadership completely muzzled Walz.
💯
Maybe. I mean, anyone expressing clear and consistent opposition to the Nazis and their agenda would have definitely helped
If his poor debate performance was a result of the campaign muzzling him as I suspect, then I agree.
I don’t know if people remember how wild that period of the campaign was. Walz’ weird attacks had the Trump campaign fully on defense. Vance was doing awkward interviews about how he wasn’t weird like every 3 days. Trump was literally considering replacing him according to reporting.
Walz was cooking and the mainstream dems got REALLY nervous
People think campaigns are about fundamentals, but they're more about projection and perception. Those things just usually happen to overlap (stronger candidates project better). During that stretch, Walz was yielding wall-to-wall coverage and Dems were fully on offense.
Then some centrist focus-group morons told Walz to shut up, and it sucked the air out of the room. Kamala couldn't get coverage anymore. Trump got to go back on offense. And then in the VP debate, all of Walz's work was undone. He bear-hugged Vance, and Vance's approval rating skyrocketed 19 points.
My belief is if the campaign & anyone with a voice/platform had pushed that the authors of P25 would actually be potus & Trump was nothing more than a puppet who they control, his narcissism & ego would have ensured a Harris win Instead they framed Trump as some evil genius who we should fear
It was bill Clinton being a dumbass.
Definitely also not budging on the genocide in Palestine.
I am still haunted by the Biden campaign's autopsy of the Harris campaign. Hear me out: "The Left" should agree to never again have a nominee that's on good speaking terms with the chief lawyer of an anti-Union megacorp
Hang on, I’ve got a response from the self proclaimed “Left” *coughs* liberals *coughs*. Allow me to summarize: “Something something, purity testing, something something, you just want Trump, something something something enjoy the camps”
Damn, excellent impersonation. If I see one more person accuse me of supporting Trump when I say something along the lines of "Dem leadership should really avoid the mistakes they made in 2024"...
