Just got off a planning meeting for an international conference and I’m legit the only one worried about visas for travel to the US. It’s bizarre. I don’t think it’s magically improving in the next three years.

and extra costs - new visas might already have a 250 dollars fee on top. sometimes i get people to sway on an issue like this one by finding one thing they might care about

International "tourism" to the US is down at least 14%. You can be sure non-US potential attendees will be asking about visas, being detained at the airport/border. They are aware.

Not sure which side of the Atlantic you’re on-but Trump is everyone’s problem-international friends used to tell me they thought they should have a say in US elections due to their impact-well now you do-USA cannot be in this alone-World leaders must stop capitulating-NATO-EU?

That’s what I hear from other societies! In this case, I bring it up at each meeting and they just blank stare and then move on. So frustrating.
