In Texas, it's the pro-gun voters. Their single issue. If Dems wanted to win in TX, they shouldn't come across as "gun grabbers" which is how the GOP often paints Dems.

This is why I continuously remind people Beto O’Rourke destroyed any chance he had of ever winning an election in Texas or just about any other state again when he announced “I’m going to take your guns.” Dumbest announcement ever.

Dems could, potentially, do so much better in elections if they adopted states rights as a platform on a number of issues. On the national level just focus on foreign policy and unrigging the economy.

So every issue should be nationalized? Force one approach on every issue on the whole country, even on states that don’t want it? You may want people like Cruz and MTG getting a say on every issue that affects your life, but I say no thanks.

Like I don’t think women’s reproductive rights should be left up to the states. I don’t think birthright citizenship should be left up to the states. I don’t think gay marriage should be left up to the states.
