We know we won't get a conviction. That doesn't mean we don't impeach. It will distract them and it certainly can't make things worse.

You won't even get an impeachment. The articles will never get to the floor with a Dem minority and Johnson as speaker.

I disagree. An impeachment at this point can actually do more harm than good. It would be a distraction from measures that would have a greater impact, and once failed, would just further embolden the right. It's not a distraction for them at all. They likely WANT dems to try
