For President? If so that’s true, but it’s always true? I’m not sure how that makes it so we can’t have a more diverse set of parties to choose from.

Yes-for president. Forget about GOP, they’re a bunch of robots but we have a very diverse party that’s essentially 3 parties In the end, realistically, no matter the ideology of an AOC or a Fetterman, they’ll still need to be a centrist to function as prez. They can’t just blow off 1/2 the country

I hate the centrist moniker. I think that’s the problem. Fighting for wages, healthcare, daycare, fair tax policy are just common sense policy. It’s the GOP who label these as far left policies. I think Dems need to stick to their core convictions & put the GOP on their back foot. Stop retreating.

But don’t you think that was part of Kamala’s downfall? People wanted change in government. She went more centrist. She didn’t campaign with more progressive change policies so there were people who abstained rather than choose the status quo or Trump.

Honestly she was dealt a losing hand. You’re not wrong though she did campaign as a centrist, which wasn’t authentic. Leaders aren’t afraid to stand up for their convictions. Biden crippled the party & she wasn’t a strong candidate. And the media sane washed Trump and that was enough.
