In some part of England people hv bn told to abandon their coastal homes. The local council has given up on coastal defences against rising sea levels.
I can't be sympathetic with people who rebuild or refurbish homes destroyed by (almost) annual floods. Especially when the floods are becoming more severe.
Also electricity, rent & some foodstuff. Indonesians rioting over living allowance paid to MPs, more than most citizens earn. Many citizens being gamed by systems they can't control or influence.
And of course many citizens actually vote against there own best interests - often because they are racist or xenophobic or just terrified of any sort of change.
Yes, but I've bn encouraged by the savaging the Liberal part of the LNP hs bn getting in recent federal elections. It seems many voters hv finally seen the light. I don't believe the Liberals can find a new direction. They're more likely to split.
