Trump has been hated his entire life. Nobody who truly knew him liked him. Whenever he popped up on TV, there was a lot of “oh god this asshole again”. The makers of The Apprentice have a lot to answer for. They rehabilitated this piece of shit and the entire world is suffering for it.

I feel like this is a somewhat underrated observation. There are a lot of culpable parties, but they got him started to the point where he could become a presidential candidate. The original sinners, as it were.

In the 80’s SNL had a skit where they’re trying to launch the Space Shuttle, but people keep wandering onto the launching pad. A series of problematic celebrities show up, and the chief keeps thinking about launching but doesn’t. Finally Trump and Ivana appear and he shouts “LAUNCH NOW!” BOOM!!
