We wouldn't be in this situation if Dems ran on it though.

Democrats did a massive medicaid expansion and were rewarded by the american people with losing 6 senate seats and 63 house seats we should have universal healthcare because its a good idea, but the idea that its an electoral panacea is nonsense

Because it's a medicaid expansion. No one gives a fuck about that, medicaid is obnoxious to sign up for. We need universal healthcare.

I'm pointing out to you that I'm not a child and I'm aware of the obnoxious application process for Medicaid. Medicaid expansion is not the solution to the country's healthcare problems.

Read it one more time, and focus on the second half of the sentence.

"no one gives a fuck about medicaid" 23% of the country was on medicaid in 2024 The idea that people voted for the anti-medicare/medicaid party because the democrats only expanded those programs but didnt universal is more insane than just thinking it would somehow be a panacea

When we finally do institute universal healthcare the median american voter is going to punish democrats for it a decade, despite it being a massive benefit to almost everyone not in the 43% already covered by government healthcare
