It’s a mental illness, imho.

No, it’s a profound lack of self awareness, of introspection, of understanding the *systems* of white male supremacy that they swim through without ever noticing. It’s not an illness; lots of mentally ill people aren’t offended at the existence of people unlike them.

I was one of those white ppl that believed I wasn’t racist and not until I did the Me & White Supremacy workbook did I realize how much ugliness was in me. It’s something I think about and work on every day to rid myself of.
