Now that I get CCd on the letters between my GIC and my GP, I find it very hard to believe the "we lack the training/expertise" excuse. The instructions the GIC gives my GP are so simple a layperson could follow them:
Prescribe x every y weeks. Blood test for [all the things to test for] every z months. List of target ranges for the tests. Continue to administer and forward results as long as tests stay within range. The only time anything changes is if something falls outside the reference range.
Yeah, all they're being asked to do is what they'd do for a cis person routinely
We need to fight back against this. Put together literature to help people advocate for the treatments they need. Look up the NICE guidelines and fight them with their own rules.

The courts are anti trans and green-lighting a lot of this shit. The system itself is fundamentally broken.
