In the context of all that’s been happening lately, it seems like a good time for a refresher on what is and what is not antisemitism. To be clear, criticizing the actions of the Israel government is not antisemitic, but holding Jews collectively responsible for those actions is.

Exactly anti semitism refers to all Jews. Objecting to the actions of the Israeli government is not ant semitism, it is anti Israeli government

This is why We have separation of church & state. Our framers knew, well, that religion corrupted politicians. And politicians corrupted religion, back. A "Jewish State" is inherently corrupt. But, not Jews.

Do the far right Otzma Yehudit see fellow Jews who don't believe in settlements as anti-Semitic? There seems to be a most palpable disdain for those who don't, and those that don't support their abstaining from military service. Or is that just more anti-orthodox?

And there you have it. The reasonable, rational, thinking, skeptical, normal-person, uncultified, unreligious response. ➕➕➕💯💯💯

it is one thing to be anti zionism and quite another to be antisemitic. Not the same thing

Unfortunately, too many confuse the 2.

The citizens of a country aren’t our enemies. It’s the leader and other people with power and control that are responsible for conflicts and wars.

Unfortunately, many don't follow that logic. And it's the same w/ the US in terms of the orange thing in charge. India with their POS in charge, Italy too, etc.

I despise the simplistic mindset that says I hate what the government of that country is doing so I’m going to assault this person who appears to be from that country.

Israel can be a Democracy, or a Jewish state. But not both.

But why should the US have any say in what it is? In that sense, I'm sick of the US being the world's police. We need to (within reason) let other countries determine what is best for each country.

If Israel keeps receiving 4 billion from the American taxpayer then it must listen to what the American people say. Otherwise it can refuse US support.

We should not be using the IHRA definition, as it has been disavowed for this use by its author. Please use the Jerusalem jerusalemdeclaration.org

Most of the IHRA examples of antisemitism are criticisms of Zionism or Israel. It’s a very problematic template that governments and universities feel compelled to adopt to placate Zionist lobby groups (the only Jews who get listened to).

Agreed. However, not holding the Israeli government accountable is careless and lethargic in the face of genocide. History will mark it despite the efforts of the lunatics.
