I hate to say that this is what the country close by a slim margin. The country also chose to give the Republicans the majority in both the Senate and the House. Voters need to learn the politics is not a team sport, elections have consequences.

Changes were made to the bill (nothing that makes it unterrible) in the Senate. It goes back to the House for approval now.
