The only thing I will say about this is that the real “buyout” when discussing a buyout is the amount due in the 1st 30-60 days. Hugh’s buyout is zero.

Oh for sure. It's not a buyout issue. It's an investment in the roster issue. They've put too much NIL into the current players and they can't afford for them to bounce.

Part of what NIL buys you is loyalty beyond the head coach if you’re willing to pay for it. Which again is possible because you have no buyout.

I’m not saying they should or that Hugh can’t turn this around to some level of respectability. Personally I’d give him next year but all it’s going to take to get rid of him is for enough of the money guys to get some big feelings tonight and for those feelings to still be there on Sunday morning.
