When the Byrds' recording contract was renewed 29 Feb 1968, it was signed only by original members Roger McGuinn and Chris Hillman.

There was some question if Parsons was still under contact to another label. Then came the S. Africa concert in July '68 without Parsons. Didn't last a year.
