I lov Random Family and I think about it often. I'm not lying when I say it completely changed my worldview about the economics and hoop-jumping of urban poverty.

I remember picking that one up randomly after deciding I wanted to read more nonfiction and staying up all night to finish it. Absolutely incredible reporting and writing about the way society systematically keeps some people down and the effect that has on communities and individuals.

Incredible book.
