Ooh, that looks kinda scary but I just saw (on Reddit) that someone was trapping/banding Harris’s in AZ some years ago and even a juvie missing a *leg* from electrocution was still on the wing … so, not only sinister, this one is probably a bad-ass! (And pretty healthy to me…) 😬

🤷🏼♀️ Is Reddit sus? “Actual falconer” makes me think … but the post I referred to was about a field study done on HHawk electrocutions over several seasons; I would assume that involved biologists and/or falconers. I’m just glad to know this one is not likely going to have probs capturing prey. ❤️
