one consequence of globally available and cheap goods is those goods may come from places with very different safety protocols! and maybe you have some sort of accountability with your overseas supplier, but how much control do you really have? do you know who their suppliers are?

even if you have good oversight of the entire supply chain, there are still things you can't control and those are ultimately the things that usually result in your shrimp getting irradiated
