They said they weren't going to control what you see with an algorithm, which was obvious nonsense. Now we can see not only is there one, it's crap. Even worse, it's actually worse than facebook, as it shows you more OF WHAT YOU BLOCK. At least that's what it's doing to me.

The default Following feed is a reverse-chronological list of every post made by people you follow. The only manipulation there is filtering out posts that contain words you have muted, or posts by accounts you have muted/blocked. The Discover feed *is* algorithmic, but optional & replaceable.

I think the algo is getting bumpy because so many new accounts and posts mean if you are looking at the wrong option ie discover instead of followers there’s a longer scroll between your most recent post and the rest than there once was. I’m not sure if hashtags will help but may be worth a shot🤷♀️
