I’ve never known of any man to take his wife’s last name. I’m from the south eastern US so I can’t speak nation wide.

Wauw, thanks for sharing. Among our friends it seems like people either do what we did and combine their last names, or each keep their own individual last name from before marriage, or just pick the most unusual last name (regardless if it was originally the man’s or woman’s last name).

I do think there is a shift from women hyphenating maiden-married to just keeping their own. Other than that, America is rolling everything else back on women doing modern things.
