problem is that the meteor only extincted about 75% of life and the goal is 100% so that [???] doesnt have to send any more

goku situation lol. they were Supposed to be a bigger threat but [plot vagary] Something [/pv] interfered with the normal mechanism for Extinctions 'taking a shape' and they ended up as a "kind of psychotic but otherwise benign superhuman" instead of, like, Perfect Cell Crossed With Godzilla
