Bullseye is so much better than the 'quizzes' of today. It has real, demanding qs, not multiple choice where the only aim is to build tension and fill time. They cascade the prize down the teams. Contestants wear ties - not shorts to display ugly tattoos. A joke in its time but unrivalled today.
It also offered contestants dignity. Many contestants were out of work because it was the 80s and well Thatcher. Jim offered genuine platitudes about their situation. You don't see unemployed people on quiz shows these days. They're used for poverty porn, not seen as part of normal society.
and why is it when watching Bullseye on Challenge tha apart from a few key episodes, I can watch these thinking I've watching them for the first time.
