If someone does something to prove they are morally superior, they didn’t have morals to begin with.
I think there was a lot of propaganda, agitprop, on the social net. Combine that with narrow focus on a single issue and outrage (also fed by propaganda) and, well, no voting. The whole moral outrage schtick is an excuse. They were suckered and won't admit it.
I do believe they were suckered, but they also love his hate, and to admit they were wrong would he devastating to them. I believe they believe they are morally superior. I believe they truly think they are doing gods work, regardless of how anti Christian their actions are.

I believe voting is like public transportation. It will get you closer to your final destination but usually not get you directly to it. It’s compromises, and while I believe we should advocate for perfection from our politicians, we should vote for progress.
