Please clarify. Home Depot does not own its parking lots? Really? Why?

No they do not own the parking lots, nor most of their buildings. They lease space in most strip malls around the US. I believe only in GA would the company own any stores plus it’s HQ.

Thank you for the info. It seems there would still be something they could do to stop the wholesale round-ups and grabs going on in the lots.
