CZ proposed this amendment to the 7/21 minutes but EDS objected because it makes it sound like she was "blocked" from joining the meeting — but…that's exactly the point, as I understood it. Ah well, *sigh*.
As to #1, the litigation update, PN is asking about the post- Trump v. CASA SCOTUS limits on injunctive relief to non-parties where the City of Cambridge is not a party to the case.
We've made it on to #4, appointments to the Commercial Parking Control Committee, which includes a brief diversion of inquiries from CZ about membership in A Better Cambridge and Cambridge Bike Safety, with various degrees of pushback from MM and BZ about the appropriateness of that.
#5 EDS: "If members want to start gambling, we can start contributing to this fund in a more aggressive way."
At 8:40pm I got into a long conversation that distracted me from the meeting so the absence of posts in the past hour is not indicative. Sorry? They're now on the RLUIPA-focused zoning amendment permitting religious uses more expansively than before.
Now up, the Biomed / Community Benefits morass.
Apparently Biomed agrees to pay some of is benefits faster than previously agreed-to:
Toner is opposed to the Biomed deal, because he feels like the project only garnered support because of East End House and they're not getting what was originally offered and agreed to.
